Dr. Nasim Oktaei

Dr. Nasim Oktaei completed her degree in dentistry at Tehran university of medical sciences in Iran in 1994. After graduation, she gained a high degree of technical skills by working in her private clinic for over 15 years before moving to Canada . After graduating from University of Western Ontario qualifying program in 2013, she worked as associate in different clinics in GTA and completed hundreds of hours of postgraduate education including: implant, cosmetic and orthodontics course (invisalign), periodontal surgery, oral surgery and full mouth reconstruction , oral sedation and nitrous gas (laughing gas) and many others to be able to offer high quality and update dental techniques to her patients.
Dr. Nasim Oktaei is dedicated to her job and passionate about educating and involving patients in their dental needs and treatments and her patients appreciate the time she takes to answer all questions and concerns. She is hoping to continue the tradition of excellence and dedication to her patients in her new office.
Dr. oktaei is a member of Canadian and Ontario Dental Association, UWO alumni association and Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and her priority is to provide the best possible services based on patient’s individual needs.
She is fluent in English and Farsi languages and has 2 son; the older one is a dental student at University of Toronto and the younger one a high school student. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading book and outdoor activities.

Dr. Kruno Tovilo

Orthodontist

Dr. Kruno Tovilo was born and raised in Toronto where he gained inspiration for Orthodontics during the course of his own treatment at the age of 13. This motivation is what led him to graduate Class Valedictorian at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine where Dr. Tovilo was presented with the Alpha Omega Fraternity Award for Highest Scholastic Achievement, as well as induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. He also received the Dentsply International Merit Award for Prosthodontic Distinction and the Excellence in Scholarship Award from the American Academy of Dental Materials.

With a passion for creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Tovilo continued his dental career with Post-Graduate Orthodontics Studies at New York University. During residency, Dr. Tovilo was exposed to a wide variety of dental malocclusions ranging from interceptive-based treatment for children to complex multi-disciplinary and orthognathic surgical adult cases. Upon completion of the program, Dr. Tovilo returned home to Toronto having passed both the American and Canadian Dental Licensing Board examinations and was granted fellowship as an Orthodontic Specialist by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.

Dr. Tovilo maintains a private practice in both Mississauga and Oakville for the past 20 years. He is an International Scholar at New York University and lectures to both incoming residents and Orthodontists worldwide on Orthodontic Interactive Self-Ligation Biomechanics, Craniofacial Growth Remodeling and Neuromuscular Activity. During his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family with interest in activities such as swimming, biking, hiking, skiing, hockey, tennis, soccer and travel. Dr. Tovilo truly enjoys improving your smile and looks forward to meeting you and your family towards this journey.

Melanie

Hygienist

Is a registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from George Brown College’s Restorative Dental Hygiene Program in 1998. Since then, she has been a dedicated practising dental hygiene in general dentistry settings. Over the years, she enjoys educating her patients on the fundamentals of preventative dentistry and has been providing thorough and gentle care to her clients to achieve optimal oral health. Melanie continues to learn the latest scientific technologies and research in the field by attending dental conventions and seminars. away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and playing the Chinese Zither.

I am Lina Amezquita Registered Dental Hygienist graduated from Oxford College.

I take great pride in helping patients maintain and improve their oral hygiene through education, motivation and caring touch, always aiming to create a calm and friendly experience.

Lacey is the newest welcomed member of the Smiles on Don Mills team.
Lacey has more than 15 years of experience working in dental field as an office coordinator.
She is a dedicated person who enjoys her job tremendously and will be happy to assist you with your dental questions, insurance concerns, appointments and dental financing needs.
What she loves most about Smiles On Don Mills is the welcoming atmosphere and positive attitude of the staff which guarantees patients will have a great experience every visit.
Lacey has a daughter and a son with whom she spends most her free time. She also has an athletic spirit and enjoys working out, running and baking.

Liza

Receptionist

Liza has a degree of Business Administration from the University of Baghdad . she has been working as a dental receptionist for over 17 years. She always enjoys welcoming new patients and the thing she likes most about Smiles on Don Mills dental clinic is the friendly staff and their positive attitudes. She is fluent in three languages, English, Armenian and Arabic. She is a mother of two lovely children one boy and one girl and Outside of the practice, she enjoys travelling, cooking and making new and unique dishes.

Assistant

Cindy moved to Canada in 1998 and completed her Level II Dental assisting Program at Medix College in 2015. Prior to dental assisting, she worked as a customer service representative for American Express. Her friendly personality and strive to provide a comfortable environment has helped to create a positive atmosphere for both patients and other team members. She believes the teamwork and upbeat attitudes shown from all of staff in Smiles on Don Mills dental clinic make each work day a great day.
She is a proud mother of three lovely boys Jamel, Izaiah and Jaheim. In her free time, she enjoys watching TV shows and taking the kids to dinner and movie.

Elizabeth

Assistant

Elizabeth completed her level II dental Assisting program at Medix College of healthcare with honours. She did her job placement at the University of Toronto and since then she has been an effective team member of Smiles on Don Mills family. As a dental assistant she makes sure the patients are as comfortable as possible once they enter the dental clinic and are satisfied with the service when they are leaving. In her spare time she loves traveling with her kids and enjoy activities like hiking, swimming and dancing.
